Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily obtaining a minimum weight of cyclodextrin polymer to be used for removing or concentrating a halogenated aromatic compound contained in an organic medium.SOLUTION: A method comprises the steps of: (1) bringing an organic medium containing a halogenated aromatic compound into contact with a colum 2 filled with cyclodextrin polymer, where a terminal of a polymer produced by condensing cyclodextrin with an organic dibasic or organic dibasic halide has reacted with alcohols, aryl alcohols or phenols, at a predetermined linear speed; (2) sequentially measuring concentrations in the recovered organic medium; (3) obtaining an adsorption amount from a weight of the recovered organic medium until the concentration exceeds a detection critical value; (4) performing the step (1) at least at three kinds of concentrations and three kinds of linear speeds; and (5) performing variance analysis by using adsorption amounts obtained in the steps (1) to (4), thereby calculating a calculation formula for obtaining a minimum weight of an absorbent necessary to recover a desired weight of organic media containing no halogenated aromatic compound.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
