To expand a function of a paper base calendar block so as to obtain a merit for automatically exchanging calendar information with that of a computer so that the calendar information that a user has in his or her computer and in the portable type calendar block is always the same.
The physical calendar block comprises a plurality of pages and a plurality of calendar areas, each of which identifies a unique time period and is adapted to receive handwritten entries for that time period. Each calendar area is provided with an electronically readable code which makes it possible to create an electronic back-up of a handwritten entry which is made in the calendar area. All the entries into the physical calendar block can be electronically recorded without any additional conducts on the user's side.
