To prohibit photographing with photographic size which is different from initial size in a same film in a camera capable of switching the photographic size.
A film holder to which a mask 90 having a different-sized aperture can be attached, can be loaded to a camera main body. The mask 90 is provided with extension parts 92a to 92d for depressing switches different from each other in accordance with the aperture size and a distinction between the extension parts 92a to 92d is detected by switches 85 and 86 provided on the film holder. The aperture size (initial size) when a film is loaded to the film holder is stored, thereafter, the aperture size is detected whenever the mask 90 is switched, the detected size is compared with the initial size, in the case that the difference between the detected size and the initial size is detected, a corresponding LED to the detected size is flickered to give an alarm and also, photographing in the state different from the initial size is prohibited.
