To provide a camera device which controls so that rotating operation may not be performed simultaneously with energizing to a heater, and which achieves low power consumption.

The camera device whose imaging direction is set by horizontal rotation and vertical rotation and which is equipped with the heater for heating includes a CPU which controls the heater so that the power consumption of the heater may be low or the heater may not be energized while at least either the horizontal rotation or the vertical rotation is performed. The heater is turned off while the rotating operation is performed. If detected temperature is out of a predetermined range when the rotating operation is required, the heater is energized first, and then, if the temperature detected by performing temperature detection again is within the predetermined range, energization the heater is stopped and then the rotating operation is performed.
