Title:
CAMERA EQUIPPED WITH SUBJECT INFORMATION STORAGE MEANS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6125131
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To perform proper focusing and exposure even when a main subject shifts in position in the viewfinder of a camera after light metering operation by storing distance information and brightness information on the subject in the storage means while an operation member is half-pressed.

CONSTITUTION: The stored brightness and distance information regards the subject which is almost common within overlapping ranges of light metering M and range measurement DF as shown in a figure. Consequently, information necessary for photography with proper exposure in the focusing state of the subject to be shotted is stored by single-time operation. A visual field frame is shown by MF. Even if a change in composition of photography is made in this state, for example, so that the subject is positioned outside the frame of light metering and range measurement, the subject is photographed in an in-focus state with proper exposure. A strobe emits light automatically when the subject brightness is low, so even if the subject is not within the light metering and range finding range, strobe photography is performed automatically when the subject is dark.
