PURPOSE: To prevent a video with its image shaking not corrected from being recorded by inhibiting the output and the picture recording of a projected video immediately after the turning-on of power supply or during the reset operation of a correcting optical system.

CONSTITUTION: After the turning-on of the power supply or during the reset operation to drive a variable apex angle prism VAP to its reference position by the control of a microcomputer 20 after the start of vibration proofing, a video output inhibition circuit 24 inhibits a camera signal processing circuit 22 from outputting the video image being photographed at that time. Besides, a warning picture output means 25 outputs another video image, e.g. the video image of warning indication in place for that video image when the output of the video image being photographed by the video output inhibition circuit 24 is inhibited during the reset operation in which the variable apex angle prism VAP is moved to its reference position. Then, a recording inhibition circuit 26 inhibits similarly a recorder circuit 23 form recording a picture when the output of the video image being photographed by a video output inhibition circuit 24 is inhibited during the reset operation in which the variable apex angle prism VAP is moved to its standard position.
