To provide a camera for monitoring by which video images in different directions are obtained by simple structure without image deterioration.
The camera for monitoring is provided with a plate type body 104 having three pin holes 103 on the front surface of a light receiving element 40 and three shutters 20 located at positions corresponding to the three pin holes 103, respectively. Image formation of light beams in different directions is performed to the light receiving element 40 by independently controlling opening/closing states of the three shutters 20 by a shutter control part 60. Thus, since the video images in the different directions different according to positions where the shutters 20 are in opened states are obtained using the whole surface of one light receiving element, the beautiful video images without image deterioration are obtained and the camera for monitoring is further compactly constituted.
