Abstract:
To provide a camera which can respond to an urgent photographic opportunity.
The camera senses the speed with which a photographer actuates the shutter release. The actuation speed is interpreted as a measure of the urgency in taking the photograph. The operation of the camera is modified with the actuation speed as the base and as a result an urgent photograph can be surely and speedily taken. Alternatively or additionally, the camera can select a relatively short exposure time for the urgent photograph.
