Title:
CAMERA
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0395529
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To realize an autofocus camera which achieves photographing at the very closest distance by setting a photographic optical system as usual when a focal distance is within the autofocus-available range, and focusing the photographic optical system when it is a specific closest distance other than the available range.

CONSTITUTION: When an object is photographed within the ordinary autofocus range, a photographer carries out photographing without turning on a close-up mode selecting switch S. When a range-finding distance is equal to or more than 1m, the focal point of the lens L is adjusted according to the result of the operation which is based on the output of the range-finder 1, and a shutter is opened and closed. On the other hand, when the object is photographed, for example, at the distance of 0.3m, a release button is depressed after the switch S is turned on. Thus, a CPU 2 operates the position of the movement of the lens, and moves the lens; when the distance of the object from the camera, which is range-found, matches 0.3m, the CPU 2 opens and closes the shutter by means of a shutter control circuit 3, and carries out photographing.
