To prevent the impairment of appearance of foods by inserting candles directly into the foods, and reduce labor of inserting a number of candles in the periphery of the foods.

A candle supporting device 10 is provided with a base member 11 which can be mounted on or inserted in foods such as cookies, the base member 11 being equipped with a plurality of candle supporting parts 17 which can support candles 21. The base member 11 is provided with a message display 15. The base member 11 is equipped with a plurality of engaging holes 13 at predetermined intervals. The candle supporting part 17 is equipped with an engaging pin 18 engageably/disengageably engaged with the engaging hole 13, and a supporting pin 19 on which a candle 21 is mounted.
