To increase durability by arranging a reinforcing layer that is harder than a resin material comprising a ski cap integrally in an area near a screw insertion hole.
For instance, a ski cap 1 is formed integrally of a polyamide resin elastomer whose Shore D hardness is about 62, nearly in triangular form as viewed from top. A head insertion section for a ski 8 is formed inward from the rear end. Screw insertion holes 6a, 6b are made in a top wall 4 and a bottom wall 5 in positions about 15mm from the rear end toward the head of the ski cap 1. Concentric reinforcing layers 7 around the screw insertion holes 6a, 6b are arranged in the surrounding of the insides of the screw insertion holes 6a, 6b that contact a ski 8. The reinforcing layers 7 are formed of a material harder than the component material of the ski cap 1, a polyacetal resin whose Shore D hardness is about 75 for example. The increased rigidity of the surrounding areas of the screw insertion holes 6a, 6b protects the ski against deformation and cracking.
