PURPOSE: To provide a fender that has excellent visibility in twilight and during the night, etc., by subjecting each side of a solid tender for use at quays to a process for making a fit, and laying a mating-leg-equipped impact receiver made from a high polymer type easy-to-color elastic material on the top of the fender, and pressing the impact receiver onto the fender to make a fit.

CONSTITUTION: Each longitudinal side of a fender main body 3 integrated with a base 4 is shaped for a fit, based on an existing solid fender made from rubber for use at quays. An impact receiver 2 made from a macromolecular material that is easy to color, such as urethane rubber, is formed independent of the fender main body 3 and in such a way that it is provided with a leg 2a that can fit the shape provided to the tender main body 3. Legs 2b may also be provided at the upper and lower ends of the impact receiver 2 as necessary. The impact receiver 2 is fitted to the upper surface of the protective surface of the fender main body 3 by being pressed into a cap shape and is integrated therewith. Such a fender can brighten the image of a fishing port and enhance the safety of work alongside the port and the like in twilight and during the night.
