PURPOSE: To avert an increase in carbon dioxide by producing the mortar-component in the form of fine powder to be generated at the time of obtaining coarse aggregate, such as gravel by crushing concrete blocks as the carbon dioxide consuming material.
CONSTITUTION: A primary crushing machine 5 consists of a stationary piece 51 and a moving piece 53 which is connected by a link mechanism 54 to a rotating body 53 and moves back and forth toward the stationary piece 51. The primarily crushed concrete blocks 11 past the primary crushing machine 5 are crushed to ≤50 millimeter particle size. The crushed pieces are then charged by a belt conveyor 6 into a secondary crushing machine 7 and are subjected to secondary crushing to separate the aggregate and mortar-components. The particles of the primarily crushed concrete blocks 11 charged into this secondary crushing machine 7 rub against each other within the space between an upper liner 71 and lower liner 72 of the secondary crushing machine. The mortar-components of low compressive strength sticking to the aggregate are thus removed from the aggregate, by which the aggregate and the mortar- components are separated. The aggregate is discharged as a regenerated material (carbon dioxide consuming material) 12 from a discharge port 73.
