Abstract:

To provide a treating method of carbon dioxide by which organic chlorine compounds in carbon dioxide gas are efficiently removed and carbon dioxide is recovered.

In this method, the carbon dioxide gas containing the organic chlorine compounds which have 2-3 carbon atoms and contain chlorine atoms is subjected to contacting with a zeolite having not less than 5 mass ratio of SiO2/Al2O3on which the organic chlorine compounds are adsorbed, then carbon dioxide is recovered. The adsorbed organic chlorine compounds are separated and recovered by contacting the zeolite with steam.
