Title:
CARBON MATERIAL FOR NONAQUEOUS SOLVENT SECONDARY BATTERY NEGATIVE ELECTRODE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3489600
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a high performance material, and use this as a negative electrode by baking it while maintaining vapor partial pressure in a kiln by a volatile component from carbon powder under a prescribed condition.
CONSTITUTION: Raw material carbon powder on which the atomic ratio of H/C is 0.5 to 0.05 and the carbon content is not less than 85wt.% and an average particle diameter is not more than 100 micron is baked. In this case, carbon powder is obtained by baking it while maintaining vapor partial pressure in a kiln by a volatile component from the carbon powder at baking temperature of 800 to 1500°C under 30mmHg. This carbon powder is used as a negative electrode and a lithium secondary battery having desired performance can be obtained.
