Abstract:
To provide a carboxymethyl cellulose salt(CMC) useful as a binder for a water-disintegrable paper having high disintegrability in water and high wet paper strength.
This carboxymethyl cellulose salt for a water-disintegrable paper has an etherification degree of 0.3-0.7, a viscosity of 10-1,000mpa.s as 1% aqueous solution and a glucose content of 1.2-15.0mg/g-CMC determined by hydrolysis with cellulase. The objective water-disintegrable paper is produced by using the carboxymethyl cellulose salt.
