Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an unskilled person to simply adapt the mixture for a dominant operating condition.
SOLUTION: A carburetor for an internal combustion engine comprises a suction passage 2 in a carburetor casing 1, a fuel passage 14 connected to a regulating chamber 8 in the carburetor, and a regulating valve 15 located in the fuel passage 14. A valve member 16 in the regulating valve 15 can be adjusted by means of an adjusting screw 17 held in the carburetor casing 1, and a cap 30 incorporating an abutting part 40 for limiting the adjustable range of the valve member 16 is held by the adjusting screw 17 so as to prevent relative rotation thereof while a stopper 60 opposing the carburetor casing 1 is located in a rotary track in the abutting part. A locking device 14 for fixing and holding the cap to the casing is provided between the cap 3O and the carburetor casing 1, having a locking member which cooperates with an incorporated opposed locking member at a rotated position of the cap 30 which has a predetermined structure.
