Abstract:
To write information with a current suitable for different coercive forces with an inexpensive configuration in an automated teller machine that handles a mixture of magnetic cards with different coercive forces.SOLUTION: An IC reading/writing unit reads coercive force information regarding a magnetic coercive force of a magnetic stripe written in advance in a predetermined area of a storage area of an IC chip. A control unit determines the read coercive force information. A magnetic reading/writing unit writes predetermined information on the magnetic stripe with a writing current for the coercive force according to a determination result determined by the control unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
