Abstract:
To provide an MMC/SD card capable of recognizing a type of a connected host without a separate external control signal for determining an additional pin or an operation mode; and to provide an adapter and its operation method.
An MMC/SD form factor compliant card device is so composed as to include a mode determination circuit connected to first and second pins of a card device, and used for comparing voltages at the first and second pins with an internal voltage level to determine the type of the host connected to the first and second pins.
