PURPOSE: To improve precision by integrating by molding of printing head and ribbon cartridge attaching parts and bearing for reciprocating carriage guide axle and also by connecting bearing unit to bearing section to decrease component parts.

CONSTITUTION: Carriage body 5 is formed by attaching bearing member 20 and bush 23 as bearing unit to the carriage body 8 which has integral parts of attaching part 9 of printing head 6, attaching part 10 of ribbon cartridge 7 and bearing support 18, 21 for reciprocating carriage guide shafts 3, 4. By so doing, assembly error by carriage body itself can be eliminated, adjustment process required during assemble is made unnecessary and component parts are decreased in number for reduction of production costs.
