To provide passages allowing gas to flow in a casing so as to prevent deformation of the casing caused by thermal deformation.
In the casing 7 having rotating parts 3, 5 in the inside of a rotating machine 1 and a circular cross section covering the rotating parts 3, 5 from the outside, a proper number of the passages 11 through which fluid is made to pass are provided in the thickness of the casing 7. The casing 7 has a proper number of detecting parts 13a for detecting a deformation amount of the casing 7, and a control part 15 for controlling a state of the fluid passing through the passages 11 according to the detected value. The casing 7 is deformed by the change in temperature caused by passage of the fluid, and the deformation amount is kept within a prescribed range.
