Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make a case-producing mold simple and eliminate the need for a process after forming the mold by forming a head insertion groove at a cassette case of a tape cassette by connecting two cassette halves. CONSTITUTION:A tape cassette 1 is connected and formed by bonding totally equally shaped cassette halves 14, where a front end face formation pat 19b is at a same height as a rear wall formation part 16 and a side wall formation part 17, a drum surface formation part 19a is lower than the part 19b at an edge part of the side of the part 19b and a tip edge 19'a is slanted so that it becomes lower toward an edge part of the side of the part 19b. Then, a height of the drum surface formation part 19a is lowered by an amount which is equivalent to the half of a head insertion groove and a groove is formed when the halves 14 are connected. Two halves 14 are connected to be in one piece, thus enabling formation to be easy and a mold to be simple regardless of the insertion groove for accepting a recording/reproduction head from an outside.
