To provide a casting apparatus with which the supplied pressure on the cross sectional surface in a sprue is uniformized and a good cast product without developing blow hole can be produced.

A molten metal supplying passage 10 communicated with a cavity 1 in a mold, is constituted with a sub-stoke 11 connected with the inlet of the cavity 1 and a main stoke 12 connected with this sub-stoke 11. A filter 15 for removing oxide, etc., in the molten metal, is disposed at the lower end of the main stoke 12 and further, a porous back pressure plate 18 provided with many non-linear type continuous holes for developing the back pressure at between the sub-stoke 11 and the main stoke 12, is disposed, and the inner part of the main stoke 12 is made to a back pressure range x and the inner part of the sub-stoke 11 is made to a rectifier zone y. In this way, the molten metal 21 is loaded with the back pressure in the main stoke 12 with the porous back pressure plate 18 and becomes the uniform pressure as well as possible in the cross sectional surface, and this supplying speed becomes the constant, and after passing through the porous back pressure plate 18, this is stabilized in the rectifier zone y and the molten metal 21 is supplied into the cavity with almost uniform condition, and the good cast product without developing the blow hole can be obtained.
