The casting equipment 1 for casting the large-sized thin castings is equipped with split molds comprising a moving mold 3 which moves vertically and a stationary mold 4 which is provided with a runner 21 on one side extending from a sprue through a longitudinal direction. Members 30 and 40 for aligning the moving mold 3 and the stationary mold 4 are respectively disposed at opposite four corners of the moving mold 3 and the stationary mold 4. Also, the moving mold 3 and the stationary mold 4 are provided with reinforcing ribs 3d of a curb type parallel and orthogonal to the extending direction of the runner 21.
