Abstract:

To provide a system and a method for nucleation casting for forming a casting.

The system and the method for nucleation casting comprises a process for adding powder into a liquidus portion in the casting. In this casting system, the casting (145) is formed which contains the liquidus portion (148) receiving refined liquid metal and substantially no oxide nor sulfide, and contains microcystals and homogeneous microtexture with no segregated defect. Further, in this casting system (3), the refined liquid metal source (1) obtained by removing the oxide and the sulfide from the metal by refining, a solid metal particle adding system (200) for adding the solid metal particles on the surface of the liquidus portion in the casting, and the nucleation casting system (2) for forming the casting, are provided. In the solid metal particle adding system (200), the solid metal particles acting as the nucleation core of the casting, are added.
