Abstract:
To produce an exhaust gas cleaning catalyst capable of suppressing the aggregation of a noble metal particles and exhibiting the excellent heat resistance with a small amount of the noble metal, and to provide a method for producing the catalyst.
The catalyst consists of a complex compound containing a transition metal and a base metal, and the noble metal which is in contact with the complex compound and has particle size of 1 to 10 nm. The method for producing the catalyst comprises a simultaneous deposition process of simultaneously depositing the transition metal and the base metal in a reverse micelle and a single deposition process of singly depositing the noble metal in the reverse micelle.
