Abstract:

PURPOSE: To selectively crack normal paraffin by forming a catalyst contg. a specified amt. of fluorine having a specified X-ray diffraction diagram and consisting of the specified amts. of zeolite, matrix and group VIII, etc. metal of the periodic classification of elements.

CONSTITUTION: The zeolite of the MFI structure or the silica with MFI framework topology having been synthesized in a fluoride medium and contg. 0.02-1.5 wt.% fluorine by 2-99.5 wt.%, 0.5-98 wt.% matrix and 0.5-30 wt.% at least one kind of metal selected from group VIII or VIB metals are mixed to form a catalyst for the dewaxing process. MoO3-NiO, WO3-NiO, MoO3-CoO, etc. are appropriately exemplified as the metal constituting the catalyst.
