Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the title catalyst composed of a specific solid catalyst component, epoxyparamenthane compound and organoaluminum compound, having high activity, reduced in lowering of activity, being slight in residual amount of catalyst contained in produced polymer and capable of providing a polymer having high stereoregularity. CONSTITUTION:The aimed catalyst composed of (A) a solid catalyst component obtained by pulverizing a substance obtained by reacting a metal magnesium powder with an alkyl monohalide (e.g. n-propyl chloride) of two times by mol or above in the presence of iodine and phthalic acid diester, successively adding tetraalkoxytitanium, aliphatic alcohol and phthalic acid diester to the resultant product at >=100 deg.C, each carrying out treatment, adding titanium tetrachloride to the resultant product and further treating the product with titanium tetrachloride, (B) epoxyparamenthane compound and (C) organoaluminum compound.
