Abstract:
To provide a catalytic converter easy to be manufactured without hindering the excellent carrier holding property and the sealing ability.
This catalytic converter 1 is provided with a catalyst carrier 2, a cylindrical metal shell 3 for covering the periphery of the catalyst carrier 2, and a holding sealant 4 arranged in a gap between them. The holding sealant 4 is wound around the peripheral surface 2a of the catalyst carrier 2 in the condition that edges 4b thereof are overlapped with each other at a part thereof.
