A catherter tube provided with a reinforcing layer 3 on an inner layer tube 1a is formed of a braid in which warp 7 extending in the longitudinal direction of the inner layer tube 1a and weft 6 extending in the circumferential direction of the inner layer tube 1a are crossed alternately. Thereby, while the weft 6 extending in the circumferential direction of the inner layer tube 1a improves the pressure resistance and rigidity, the warp 7 positioned in the longitudinal direction of the inner layer tube 1a transmits the inserting force applied to the longitudinal direction and the rotating torque to the whole tube 1 side securely.
