Abstract:
To provide a positive electrode active material with high packing density capable of achieving a lithium-ion battery with excellent cycle characteristics.SOLUTION: The positive electrode active material includes a first particle group and a second particle group. The first particle group consists of multiple first particles. The first particle includes 1 to 10 single particles. The second particle group consists of multiple second particles. The second particle includes agglomerated particles. The agglomerated particles are formed by the aggregation of 50 or more primary particles. A single particle is one in which the ratio of nickel to metal elements other than lithium is 70 mol% or more. The primary particles have a nickel ratio of 75 mol% or more to metal elements other than lithium. Inside the agglomerated particles, lithium-containing metal oxide is included at the primary particle interface. The particle aggregate has a porosity of 2% or more and 8% or less. The mass ratio between the first particle group and the second particle group is 20:80-50:50.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
