Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrodeposition coating composition capable of forming a cured coating film which is excellent in edge portion rust preventive performance and has excellent coating film appearance.SOLUTION: A cationic electrodeposition coating composition contains resin emulsion (i), where the resin emulsion (i) contains an aminated resin (A), a block isocyanate curing agent (B), a metal oxide and/or hydroxide (C) and an organic acid (D), the metal oxide and/or hydroxide (C) contains one or more selected from the group consisting of La, Nd, Y, Pr, Yb and Ce as metal elements, the organic acid (D) is one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of a hydroxymonocarboxylic acid and a sulfonic acid, and the resin emulsion (i) satisfies such a condition that a ratio of the mol number of metal in the metal oxide and/or hydroxide (C) to the mol number of the organic acid (D) is in a range of (C):(D)=1:0.3 to 1:2.7.SELECTED DRAWING: None
