Abstract:
To provide a cationic polymer improved for stickiness and stiffness at drying and conditioning effect at rinsing for hair cosmetics, while got rid of twitching and improved for stickiness and sliminess for skin cosmetics.
The amino acid-modified cationic polymer is obtained by neutralizing an amino acid-modified water soluble polymer having an amino acid on the side chain with an inorganic acid and/or an organic acid. The amino acid-modified water soluble polymer having an amino acid on the side chain is a polymer comprising repeating unit of a basic amino acid-modified polymerizable monomer as the main component and/or a copolymer of the above monomer with a kind of monomer selected from monomers having ethylenic and allylic double bonds.
