Abstract:

To obtain an excellent base material exhibiting more excellent cell adhesion and extensibility for a long period of time by using collagen originated from fish scales than those of the base material covered by mammalian-originated collagen.

This cell culturing base material is covered by the fish scale-originated collagen and has a fibrillated state surface. Such the collagen exhibits the more excellent cell adhesion and extensibility over the long period of time than those of the conventional base materials covered by the mammalian-originated collagen. Especially, the base material excellent in culturing the cells originated from the mammalian is also provided.
