Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease transmission of information unnecessary for transition of systems in the case that a mobile station in a waiting state or a communication state in one system starts communication in the other system.
SOLUTION: The communication system of this invention comprises first and second cellular communication networks. The cellular communication system allows a mobile station to acquire control channel information including information for communication using a control channel in a prescribed cell of the second cellular communication network by utilizing a control channel or a communication channel in a cell of the first cellular communication network. When the mobile station desires communication within a prescribed cell, the second cellular communication network transmits communication channel information including information for the communication to the mobile station by utilizing the communication channel in a prescribed cell and utilizing the communication channel information. The mobile station utilizes the communication channel decided on the basis of the communication channel information to start communication at a prescribed cell.
