Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing cellulose nanofibers, which is excellent in productivity and can provide spun fibers (not non-woven fabric-like) having desired length and nano-sized width.SOLUTION: The method for producing cellulose nano-fibers comprises: (1) a spinning process comprising (1A) an extrusion step where an internal phase containing a cellulose solution in an ionic liquid is extruded from a discharge opening of an inner pipe of a double pipe-type micro nozzle, and an external phase containing water is extruded from a discharge opening of an outer pipe of the double pipe-type micro nozzle, and (1B) a step of forming cellulose nanofibers where cellulose in the internal phase is deposited by making the ionic liquid in the internal phase extruded by the extrusion step (1A) migrate into water in the external phase extruded by the extrusion step (1B); and (2) a cleaning process where the cellulose nanofibers formed by the spinning process (1) are recovered and cleaned to remove the ionic liquid attached thereto.
