To obtain a cellulosic fiber fabric that satisfies excellent morphological stability, water absorption and moisture absorption and moisture release properties simultaneously by imparting a crosslinked vinylsulfonic acid polymer to the fabric including cellulosic fibers modified by crosslinking.
The fabric containing ≥10 wt.% of cellulosic fibers modified by crosslinking is treated with a treatment solution containing a vinylsulfonic acid polymer comprising at least one monomer selected from the group of 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid, styrenesulfonic acid, isoprenesulfonic acid and (meth)allylsufonic acid, a crosslinking agent, for example, formaldehyde or the like and a silicone softening agent and a hydrophilic polyester resin.
