Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cemented chip board the shrinkage of which is inhibited even in such a state that flame is directly applied to the board over a long period of time and accordingly, which has excellent fire resistance efficiency.
SOLUTION: This cemented chip board consists of cement, wood chips and vermiculite having a 0.5-5.0 mm average particle size, a 32-40% SiO2 content and a 9-16 wt.% ignition loss, wherein the vermiculite content in the resulting cemented chip board is 0.5-10 wt.% on the basis of the weight of the board.
