Abstract:
To improve operability and the like in providing a backrest equipped with a back shell body with a lumbar support device.SOLUTION: A backrest 3 includes a shell body 6, a back cushion 7 arranged in front of the same, and a skin material 13 covering the same. The back cushion 7 is supported by a support pad 14 from the back. The support pad 14 is lifted/lowered by a lifting/lowering body 20 that has an inclination part 49 which has a rear downward and a lifting/lowering operation part 17 having at a rear end part a knob 15 received in the back. To the shell body 6, a sleeve body 16 guiding the lifting/lowering body 20 is fitted. The knob 15 is positioned at the height of a lower part of the support pad 14, so that the arm does not have to be bent unnaturally when operating and the support pad 14 can be lifted/lowered lightly.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
