Abstract:
To provide a chair for relaxing which has effects to return positions of a skeletal structure to the original one, to relieve tension of muscles, and to adjust breathing, bloodstream, autonomic behaviors, and the like simply by sitting.SOLUTION: A chair 10 for relaxing has: a seat surface 12 which nearly horizontally supports a portion from the buttocks of a seater to at least a part of a lower leg in the state that the knee is stretched; a backrest 13 which extends from a back side of the seat surface 12 in the way that an open angle becomes 135°±5°; armrests 15 which are provided on both sides of the backrest 13, support elbows of the seater at positions where the forearm parts are abducted at 45° to 90° and support the forearm parts of the seater in the state that the elbows bend almost at right angles, the wrist sides of the forearm parts face forward, makes 45°±10° angle with the horizontal surface, and incline upward and forward; and a footrest 14 whose distance from the backrest 13 is adjustable and supports the soles of the seater almost vertically with respect to the seat surface 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
