The chair has a contact member that a sitting person is to be in contact with and a back surface member at the back in the view from the side to be in contact, a projection part is provided on one of the contact member and the back surface member, and an engagement part slid in a direction roughly orthogonal to the projecting direction of the projection part and detached from the projection part is provided on the other of the contact member and the back surface member. A form wherein the contact member is a back receiving member and the back surface member is a back receiving back surface member, and a form wherein the contact member is a seat member and the back surface member is a seat back surface member, or the like, are preferable.
