Abstract:
To provide a chair capable of shortening a distance between an engaging member and an operation member and operating the operation member at a position near a backrest.SOLUTION: A chair has: a support structure (support base 40); a backrest rotatably supported around a shaft line 42a (first shaft line) of a rotary main shaft 42 extending in a width direction of the support structure with respect to the support structure; and regulating means 93 regulating rotation of the rotary main shaft 42 of the backrest around the shaft line. The regulating means 93 has: a foundation member 91 provided for the backrest; an engaging member 96 which is supported by the foundation member 91 and regulates rotation of the foundation member 91 of the backrest support member around a shaft line 91a (first shaft line) by engaging an engaging recess (engaging part) provided for the support structure; and an operation member 95 supported by the foundation member 91, connected to the engaging member 96, and operating the engaging member 96.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
