Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character input video recording method and device that can simplify reservation operations by entering a reserved program title so as to set video recording reservation.
SOLUTION: The character input reservation video recording device is provided with a data input section 10 that enters a title for identifying a video recording reservation program, a data separator 30, a data detector 40 and a latch section 50 that separate broadcast program schedule data from a broadcast signal received through a tuning circuit and store the data, a microcomputer 60 that encodes the title entered from the data input section 10, compares the coded title with a code stored in the latch section 50, and stores concerned broadcast program schedule data when they are coincident, and a video recording and reproducing section 101 that receives and records the program on the basis of the broadcast program schedule data stored in a reservation program memory 80.
