Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of a noise, and also improve a valve function so as to completely shut out air reverse flow.
CONSTITUTION: The check valve of an air pump has connecting openings 143, 145 whose both ends can be airtightly connected to hoses, and is equipped with a tubular connecting member 14 in which an air channel is formed, and a valve member 15 which is airtightly mounted in the air channel in the connecting member 14 and regulates air flow. The valve member 14 is formed into a tubular body consisting of an elastic material having a valve body 154 whose one end is equipped with an air inflow opening 151, and whose other end is equipped with an opening/closing opening 156 which is taperingly formed toward a direction to send air, and is closed in an approximate straight line, and reinforcing ribs 157 which are formed approximately transverse to the straight line direction around the circumference of the opening/closing opening 156, and reinforces the opening/closing opening 156 in its closing direction.
