PURPOSE: To automatize the printed board checking work by calculating coordinate data on a printed board of a parts terminal, and extracting a connecting relation between each parts terminal from printed board manufacture data.
CONSTITUTION: A parts shape model is defined by a relative coordinate of each terminal 22 from a reference origin 21 of parts. Manufacture data of this printed board is constituted of four pieces of traces 24 (tr1, tr2, tr3, tr4). By analyzing this printed board manufacture data, an end point coordinate file of the trace is generated. This file is constituted of coordinate data of both end points of each trace, whether a bier for connecting layers exists in the end point or not, and also, the trace number given so as to become well-defined as the management number to the trace. In such a way, the comparing and collating word of the printed board manufacture data and a net list extracted from a circuit diagram can be executed automatically by a checking device.
