Title:
CHELATE RESIN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04171050
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a resin selectively adsorbing trivalent iron ions by forming spaces of a giant reticulate structure type to a chelate resin having a phosphine group and/or a phosphone group.

CONSTITUTION: Three-dimensional spaces of a giant reticulate structure containing a structural unit expressed by formula I [wherein (n) is 0-2 and A is-P(OH)2, a group expressed by formula II or III] are provided to a chelatable ion exchange resin containing a phosphine group and/or a phosphone group. The resin has an internal structure wherein a specific surface area is 0.5-100m2/g, and pore volume is 0.1-1.0ml/g and the radius of pores is 30-300 thereto. The chelate resin thus obtained selectively adsorbs trivalent iron ions even in an aidic electric nickel-zinc plating bath within a low pH region and has good durability and can be used repeatedly.
