Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical loop combustion apparatus in which supply of carbon-containing substance from a fuel reactor to an air reactor is suppressed.SOLUTION: A chemical loop combustion device 10a comprises an air reactor 5 for oxidizing a solid-state reductant agent containing metal with oxygen in air to generate a solid-state oxidizer containing metal and oxygen; a fuel reactor 6 for oxidizing carbon-containing fuel with oxidizer to generate carbon dioxide-containing gas and reductant agent; a carbon separator 7 which is supplied with fuel-derived carbon-containing substance and reductant agent from the fuel reactor 6, oxidizes carbon-containing substance to generate carbon dioxide-containing gas and separates the gas from the reductant agent; and a fourth line 4 for supplying oxidant generated by the air reactor 5 to the carbon separator 7. In the carbon separator 7, carbon-containing substance is oxidized with oxidant supplied through the fourth line 4 to generate gas.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
