Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for manufacturing a reduced chemical compound by decomposing and reducing a substance derived from a biomass, under a mild condition without coexisting a reductive chemical compound of the prior art such as hydrogen, and to make effective use of a material by using a portion of a carbonaceous sub-product made by a reaction, again as a reactive material (or a reductive agent).SOLUTION: A chemical substance manufacturing method is characterized by a step (a chemical reducing step) of causing reduced iron (Fe and/or FeO) and a substance derived from biomass to react thereby to produce a reduced product material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
