PURPOSE: To lessen part number, simplify structure, and reduce cost by rotating a rotary brush by using rotation force of a drive wheel of a band sawing machine.

CONSTITUTION: In a chip removal device 7 for a band sawing machine which is formed by setting an endless band saw blade 6 around between a drive wheel 4 and a driven wheel and having a rotary brush 8 which contacts with the band saw blade 6 on the way to traveling of the band saw blade 6 so as to remove chips stuck to the band saw blade 6, rotation force of the drive wheel 4 is directly transmitted to the rotary shaft 14 of the rotary brush 8 and a rotation force transmission means 12 which uses rotation force of the drive wheel 4 as rotation force of the rotary brush 8 is provided.
