Abstract:
To obtain a chloroprene latex useful as an aqueous adhesive not containing an organic solvent, having excellent balance of adhesion performances and excellent weathering discoloration resistance in.
This coloroprene latex is obtained by polymerizing 100 pts.wt. of chloroprene or chloroprene and a monomer copolymerizable with chloroprene and 0.5-10 pts.wt. of an ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid in the presence of 0-10 pts.wt. of a glycol ether and 0.5-10 pts.wt. of a polyvinyl alcohol having 60-85 mol.% saponification degree.
